The Medical Device Group began in 1978 with Boehringer Mannheim in laboratory diagnostics. We expanded into dialysis with Fresenius Medical Care in 1987, and into orthopedics with Stryker in 2001.

Surgical specialties
- 2001–2011: Stryker (Howmedica) joints, trauma, and spine.
- 2006–2013: Osteotech demineralized bone matrix (DBM).
- From 2006: France’s LDR MOBI-C cervical disc and ROI-C anterior cervical cage. MOBI-C was the first cervical disc replacement FDA-cleared for two-level treatment.
- From 2012: Italy’s TECRES CEMEX bone cements — low-viscosity, gentamicin, and vancomycin-gentamicin options matched to surgical need.
Laboratory quality
For more than thirty years the diagnostics unit has introduced advanced analyzers and reagents, and hosted Dr. Westgard in Taiwan on Westgard rules. We have been Taiwan’s largest supplier of College of American Pathologists proficiency-testing products, covering every medical center and regional hospital. In late 2000 we introduced the CAP laboratory accreditation program, guiding Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Tri-Service General Hospital, China Medical University Hospital, and others. More than twenty laboratories have been accredited. Our specialists have spent decades in laboratory QC and QA.
Looking ahead
We continue to introduce quality products from abroad, combining them with Harvester’s hospital network so patients and physicians receive professional service. Future partner searches include cardiology and radiology. The goal is to become Taiwan’s leading medical-device company in every market we enter.
