Home-care diabetes monitoring launched with Boehringer Mannheim
After Strepsils, Harvester enters diabetic blood-glucose monitoring — a step that built today’s home-care franchise.
Harvester’s Home Care Group began with Strepsils from Boots. In 1985 the company entered diabetic blood-glucose monitoring with Boehringer Mannheim.
The move opened non-hospital channels — medical shops, drug stores, nursing homes, and later department stores and baby boutiques.
Home care later added Johnson & Johnson LifeScan, Novartis, Hartmann, Beurer, and Coloplast, covering more than 5,000 direct customers.
